Professional Services – Specialty insurance
A start-up international specialty insurer and reinsurer had grown to a team of 300 in less than two years following a multi-billion-dollar investment. In Autumn 2020, they needed to deliver an extensive portfolio of Technology and Business Change projects arising from this very rapid growth and to meet changing customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Having worked with a tier one consultancy to define their high-level business strategy, they now required an agile professional services delivery partner to work closely with their chosen development partner, and provide specialist Project Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Test Management and Data Analysis expertise.
Professional Services – Public Sector
In August 2020, a large central Government department sought a professional services delivery partner to support a major cloud contact centre migration programme to transform the way they interact with citizens.
For a number of strategic commercial reasons, the client required the supplier to provide several multi-skilled project teams extremely quickly to work on the inflight projects and complete a handover from the incumbent systems integrator who had been managing the discovery phase of the contact centre transformation programme and who were now exiting.
They also wanted the chosen delivery partner to carry out knowledge transfer and capability development of its own internal staff to increase the level of maturity and skill in order to manage the new service.
IR35 – SoW as a solution – Specialty insurance
In March 2020, a leading global specialty insurer made the decision that they would not be directly engaging PSC contractors from April 2020, following the Government's proposed IR35 changes. Consequently, several key projects were deemed to be at risk from key contractors leaving to pursue alternative contract roles elsewhere.
